How to find and buy products on railauction.plus
As a buyer on our platform you enjoy many advantages. You can access a wide range of rail assets throughout Europe. You can use our handy search and filter functions to find precisely what you are looking for in no time at all.

Four different types of sale are possible at railauction.plus:
Direct purchase
You can purchase products straight away by adding them directly to your shopping basket and paying for them.
Direct purchase with price proposal
The seller gives you the option to submit a non-binding offer with a price proposal. In this case, the product is advertised at a suggested price and you can submit a request indicating your own price proposal.
Live Auction
In a live auction, all registered users can see the current highest bid at any time.
Hidden auction
In a hidden auction, the current highest bid is not openly visible. The participants place their bids in secret and the winner is declared only after the auction is over.
What does the buying process look like?
Search & Find
Search agent: Use our search agent to be automatically informed as soon as a suitable product is online.
Categories: Our categories are a good way to start looking at current auctions or offers.
Bid & Buy
You can use the four types of sales described above. From open auction to direct purchase, everything is available. Bid on auctions or add direct purchases to your shopping cart without waiting.

Place an order
Payment: In the order form you will find all details about your purchase and information about the seller: address and contact details.
Invoice: The seller will send you an invoice. As soon as the seller has received the money, the status of the order will be set to paid.
Shipment/collection: Negotiate directly with the seller whether the goods are to be collected or shipped. As soon as you receive the goods, the status is set to shipped/collected.
