Selling and buying rail assets - in Europe.

With us you can easily sell and buy used rail assets - with just one free user account. From rail vehicles to freight wagons to swap bodies: railauction.plus is the place to find spare parts & Co. that are no longer needed and to give them another life cycle. It is therefore worthwhile to place your track-laying machine, your old rail vehicle or whatever else you have to give away on railauction.plus. You can choose from over 30 sub-categories to which you can assign your item. This way we make sure that your sale can be found quickly. As a buyer, the large number of sub-categories gives you the opportunity to make your search for the right spare part, train etc. as efficient as possible.

The four different types of sales

You have the possibility to choose between four different sale types on railauction.plus: direct purchase, price suggestion, open auction and hidden auction.
By offering a variety of sale types, we ensure that the right sales process is available for you and your company.  By choosing direct purchase the buyer is enabled to transfer a product immediately to their shopping basket and purchase it at a set price. The sale type price suggestion initiates a negotiation between buyer and seller: here buyers can make offers that the seller can either accept or reject. Buyers have the option of sending a new price suggestion after rejecting their offer. Another type of sale we offer is the open auction. Buyers can see the number of bidders and the current highest bid. To make the bidding process even more comfortable, we integrated an intelligent and helpful bidding agent. You can find out more about this in our FAQs. The last sale type we would like to introduce to you, is the hidden auction. In a hidden auction, buyers do not see the number of bids or the maximum amount. At the end of the auction, the seller chooses the winner. Please note that the winner may not necessarily be the highest bidder.
